Driving home this arvo the car engine just stopped. It still cranks but won't fire. Some tests have been done, we have fuel, but there is no spark. Anyone with GOOD ideas. I need to get this going again.

No actual spark from the plugs? Or do you mean it just wont start?
Perhaps immobiliser? Checked all the fuses?
Just my 2 cents worth.
One thing I like to do is disconnect the battery for 10min and then see what happens.
A partially flat battery will cause this....also a bad CAS....or a bad distributer rotor cap....or the rotor....or the coil (inside the distributor). Without a lot more information, suggesting what the problem is like picking the Melbourne Cup winner without knowing the form of the horses.

Crank angle sensor tests ok. Dizzy changed with another one. Still no go. My spare key does not make any difference either. So I am out of ideas.

You don't have any sort of after market ECU do you? Perhaps a dead standard ECU if not? Could be a faulty battery too.

I gather you unplug the BEM and then plug back in? You could also unplug the ECU and plug that back in and see if that does the trick. Failing that use a spare ignition barrel, bem and key and see that could work. Stupid third gen with there damn BEM!

No error codes from the ECU at all (no mutt tool) looking at the engine light with the wire shortcut. Changed battery this morning as well no change. It will burn soon.

Well unplugged the BEM to see if there as any loose plugs and then had a look too see if there were any error codes and 22 came up Crank Angle Sensor. So started pulling bits off too get the CAS out and It's farrked the plate that gives the signal is bent out of shape and killed the sensor plus the timing belt is chewed up as well. So will need another plate. How does the crank gear come off. Pics coming....

How easy is it to get that gear off.

The gear should slide off by hand or if corrosion is evident where it fits on the crank spray some WD 40 on it & let it soak. If difficult to remove you may need to lever it off with something like a screw driver.

Just sprayed the gear with RP7 and also sprayed the wrecked car in the garage as well because that one has the plate I can use but that gear is stuck as well. So tomorrow I will get another TB I think I will change all the belts while I am at it.

What do you think caused it? Maybe I missed something in the thread? In the picture are you holding up a, OK second hand crank angle sensor and a broken CSA next to it?
How many K's has the car done?

OP says "So started pulling bits off too get the CAS out and It's farrked the plate that gives the signal is bent out of shape and killed the sensor plus the timing belt is chewed up as well.".....so timing belt either snapped or jumped off the pulleys is my guess..

The gear should just slide off, with a bit of leverage to get it moving if needed. Looking at the crank gear, it looks like the scroll pin has sheared off. Have a look at the outer pulley to see if the rest of the pin is in there. The pin aligns the outer pulley with the cam belt crank gear, the only way it can shear off is if the pulley bolt wasn't tightened enough and the pulley spun. Only a guess, but I recon if it is all assembled properly the car will run.
Good luck!

The TB was still intact just chewed up from the bent plate. Timing wise it should be still good. I just hope I can get this done today.

Well the gears just slid off I think the RP7 helped overnight. Now I have some pics uploading now to show how bad it is.

Mmmmm - that scroll pin is still intact, so it wasn't a loose crank bolt. Perhaps the edge of the timing belt frayed and damaged the plate, which then took out the CAS?
Got a pic of what is left of the timing belt?
