I've got this strange clunking noise coming from the rear passenger side it only just started yesterday but is very noisy, it almost sounds like a branch hiting the spokes as the wheel rotates yesterday the noise was constant but disappeared as I would slow down to about 20ks but when I drove it today it was gone then came back after about 1 hour of driving, i took the wheel off I didn't see anything out of the ordinary and took the rotor of aswell an all was good put the rotor and wheel back on now the noise is only there when slowing down and not there while cruising it pissing me cos I wanna sell it and now that noise has started not happy! Any help will be much apreciated

Nah it's coming from the rear of the car thinking it could be a wheel bearing but i've never herd a bearing make a clunking noise

how are your rear shocks?
As above...could be rear shock rubbers (top or bottom) or the sway bar rubbers. Have you tried pushing down on that corner of the car to duplicate it...or jack that wheel up with handbrake on and try to move wheel in all directions to duplicate sound. Tyre is OK?...no tread separation?.

I've tried to duplicate the noise but can't, the tire is fine and the shock rubbers are fine aswell, the noise went away today and then came back for about 30 seconds but the clunking dosnt match the bumps in the road so it's not the shock
Possibly the one of the bushes....jack the car up, take the rear wheel off, undo the single bolt that secures the knuckle from the upper control "U" arm (the upper arm will naturally spring upwards), and pull down on the knuckle with your hands (easy to do as there is less resistance) , you will see the whole suspension doing its job....and if it is the bushes you will hear it.
