hi everyone - I am planning to change the OEM pads on my 380 - I think they have more life in them but I am sick of the noise when cold. Car has around 56,000kms.
I got some Bendix General CTs as replacement and now thinking about new rotors.
The OEM rotors were machined under warranty about 12 months ago due to the excessive squealing and I think are now warped. Well I think it is warped rotors - moderate braking from speeds above 80kph I can 'hear' (rather than feel) a vibration at the front end. Is that warped rotors? Should I replace them - I don't want to keep machining the rotors every 12 months.
I found a place selling the RDA slotted for $270 both sides. See link - is that a fair price? Can I use the Bendix CTs with these rotors? Thanks guys.

Do they squeal? I got them because I read a few posts here where owners who fitted them said it stopped the squealing problem permanently. That is the most important thing for me to solve.

I got Ultimates (DUSTY AS $$%^&*) and ATM Bendix premiums because I really like stopping rather than noise
Squeaking brakes is not so much the pad compound but a resonance which can be fixed with liberal application of copper grease on the back of the pad when fitting them in the caliper
I upgraded to a DBA slotted rotor when I got the ultimates and love em
Ultimates have $%&) cold pedal feel whereas the Premuims have a much better grab when cold

I am still happy 10 000k later but next time will try the QFM HD pads

That price for a pair of RDA slotted looks pretty good.
I went from stock front pads to Bendix General CTs to QFM HPX.
The stockers are hard & noisy as hell.
The CTs were a tiny bit softer and dead quiet, with a little bit of dust. But ordinary bite and feel and not much fade resistance.
The HPX poo all over both of them, and so they should for twice the price.
Good bite, good feel, good fade resistance, zero dust (and I mean no dust at all).
They were a little squealy at first, a bit like the stockers but not as bad.
I fixed the squeal with some CRC anti-squeal spray. Spray it on the rotors both sides then burnish it on by getting the rotors good and hot, by several repeated hard stops.
Never had a squeal or squeak since.
Can't recommend the HPX highly enough, well worth the extra $ over the CTs.
But remember they are a street/road pad, not designed for the track. If you want track pads go the QFM A1RM.

RDA slotted + bendix CT's would be a good combo. Also look for EBC pads - their basic pads were really good, we had them on the Ralliart Colt with RDA slotted rotors.

Hmm decision time. Should I go for DBA Super Street (non slotted) or RDA slotted. They are the same price. I hear that DBA is better but not sure what to do...

They're both made in the same factory in China. The only ones made in Australia anymore are the DBA 4000 & 5000 series. Go for the RDA slotted.

oh my thanks so much for letting me know.! :eek2:
Do you know much about the RDA standard ones? I can get those for about $100 cheaper for a pair.

Exactly the same as standard DBA. Ok for what they are, but if you can afford it, get the slotted.

Hi for anyone looking for slotted rotors - I found a place selling the RDA slotted for $199. And that is delivered. Very happy with that price!
Am I allowed to post the name of the place on here or is that against the forum rules?

Rotors were received quickly - and were sent from RDA directly. So all great with that seller.
