Talked to my local wrecker the other day and they happen to have a 6G75!! they want $1500 for it, 75,xxxKm's andall cylinders test perfectly for compression. They said for the $1500 I can take the engine and anything else in the engine bay, although there is NO TRANSMISSION!

Sounds like a good deal to me, my mechanic is only 5kms up the road so fitting wouldn't be much of an issue. Only question is, does the 6g75 mate up to my TF's 4 speed auto?

I vaguely remember reading here that these engines go for $750 from a wrecker.
I guess at some stage if they find out people are buying them as an upgrade for the smaller motors their price will go up

Shoot TJtime or IH8HSV a pm. Both have done DIY conversions. Dont think ive seen anyone bolt it up to a 4 speed auto yet, most already or do a manual conversion at the same time
