So, I want to keep my sportswagon muffler with tip and make the car a little bit louder. Dont forget it already has the sports/vrx exhaust system, so what can I do to make it louder, while keeping it legal?
remove the big resonator in the middle and put in a straight through hot-dog resonator or just completely remove it.

Not too bad on a manual, that's what I did with my old TE V6. Swapped the stock muffler for a Lukey LR2779 (same as the VRX) but that was too quiet, so chopped out the centre resonator and replaced it with pipe. Much better note, fairly loud, and only a little droney.
But I wouldn't recommend it on an auto.

i had it done on my car and its manual sounded awful best bet is to replace both mufflers with smaller ones if you want a louder crisper sound

Yeah ive heard of removing the middle resonator, but as hsv said it might sound like ass.
I want to keep the rear muffler because the sports/vrx mufflers with the factory piping for a wagon are really rare (only on sportswagons), so I want to keep it purely for the rarity.
