As title states need to know if a 4speed box is the same as a 4speed tiptronic box as I am about to change mine :(

As title states need to know if a 4speed box is the same as a 4speed tiptronic box as I am about to change mine :(

I've never seen anything to suggest that there was any difference between the boxes, just the ECU code and some harness differences to accommodate the tiptronic shifter.

Yep, same box.

Shifter plate, wiring harness, ECU and Dash cluster is different.
