Can anyone please help with engine fault codes and where/how to read them. Car is TF magna manual 3 litre wagon.
Car just cut out. Ac/ was switched on just before it cut out, maybe this is related/maybe not.
Tank had petrol in, but added 10 litre anyway. Battery is good, air cleaner is clean, spark plugs are good.
Have tried various things. Checked 2 of the plug leads on front bank of cylinders and found spark. Then put some petrol in the inlet to the plenum and tried to start her, without any luck. . Next removed a spark plug and put some petrol into cylinder and also checked plug (it looked good and gap was fine). Still no luck. Removed hose that takes petrol back to tank from injector rail and petrol pi---ed out when motor was turned over. So thought ...got spark, got petrol (either via fuel injectors or what we put in), what else is needed and concluded it is air (oxygen). So removed a plug and held hand over top of rocker cover to cover up the hole and had someone crank the motor. Yes, my hand was forcefully pushed away. So I am thinking about the problem, looking for help. Meanwhile the car is standing (so if flooded, will settle), have removed battery and charging it. So later will try with a full battery, refitting it should reset the computer. Does anyone have any ideas. Even if airflow meter, TPS/TDC sensor/ injector circuit etc faulty, there should be some starting type noises., as there is spark and I have added some petrol. How can i check that injectors are opening?
Thanks guys.
