Im pretty sure it is the 1.3u. With no number 9 pin. Is this correct?

Wanting to be able to flash

I have searched and found that 1.3u or 2.0 will do it, just not sure on the no 9 pin

Both references to "pin 9" are regarding Evo 4-9 or Active Yaw Control/ACD ( which clearly, our 3rd Gens don't have!)

So....Is it necessary to order the cable with Pin 9 removed?

Thats the only thing im not sure about, was told to just get the one with pin 9 removed or get an openport 2.0

for what is worth I have a 1.3 (datalogging) cable and I haven't been able to get it connected to my TJ magna, I managed to get it working once but haven't been able to do it again. I think the evoscan thing is a bit of a gamble on magnas.

i have a 1.3 cable which i have successfully logged TH, TJ & TL magnas using evoscan..

i have also used it with ecuflash to read and write to a TJ ... i was also able to read my TH with it..

the 1.3 cable will NOT write to evo 5/6 OR TH magna

the 1.3 will write back to evo 7/8/9 AND TJ magna

the 2.0 cable will write to evo 5/6 so i expect it to write back to TH magna aswell but as far as i no we have no definitions at this stage for TH magnas..

I must be doing something wrong, were you able to use Error code reading from ABS or any system?

i log my evo all the time so i cant really remember exactly what i did on each magna unforunatly

the most recent thing i did was log water temp on my TH...

i also recall pulling a CEL from a TE about 6 months ago....

Gremlin there are TH defs but they are minimal. Ignition and fuel maps plus immob only.

really? sweettt... so a 2.0 cable we should be able to flash tune TH ecu's ....

ill probably get a 2.0 because it looks as if you can log to microsd
