I'm a lucky bastard because I just got a new Magna. A KS grand touring wagon in manual with a factory sunroof. Since there was only 180 made, I was wondering how many are still out there? Does anybody on here currently have one too or know of anybody with one?

I've heard of a few like that. I don't like the sound of such a rare car being handed to the wreckers.

What colour? Mine is registered.

Hehe damn the second gens are so old now.
But it's good to see people still driving them and keen on restoration.

I remember when this section was the most busiest section on AMC. Now there's hardly anyone here.
I miss those days.

This is still the best 2nd gen wagon i ever saw. Which was actually tuned by the famous BMW tuner AC Schnitzer:

Yeah lydz, it is the one you bought, I saw the link on the ebay thread (the listing is removed now), could'a sworn I read the listing and it said it was being sold unregistered because it needed a few things for a roadworthy?

Maybe it was. If it was the dark green one from carsales.com then yeah that's the one that I got. He took out the expensive sound system and replaced it with the 6 months rego.

Yep, dark green, had a little bull bar didn't it (been browsing a lot of cars lately so I might be getting mixed up as to its features) but if it had been registered I probably would have gone on a road trip to get it :P

Yeah there are about 5 that I have seen popping around Adelaide. If I didnt buy my sportswagon and one of these was for sale I wouldnt have thought twice about buying it, I would have given them whatever they asked haha. Saw one for sale the other day, couldnt stop to check though.
Someone should buy one and restore one! Beautiful cars IMO :)

That's what I'm doing. Not sure how much I'll pay to fix the exterior though. How much do you guys think it would be for a full respray?

If you respray it, I think you should do it in either white or black... would look sex.
Also, if you have a bit of cash, look into a leather diamante interior from japan or NZ!! holy crap I would give my hand for the car then.

I am looking for black leather interior too... Gotta save up some cash by selling some of magnas I've got sitting around. It would probably be black. But looking at prices, I probably won't for a while anyway.

Ah, I thought you had to have a roadworthy done to sell a registered car, is that just Queensland?
