Hi all,
First post so go easy on me!
Couple of problems I'm having with my 380.
1. The light has died on my dash digital clock and I have no idea how to replace it. I've checked the fuse-box diagram and there doesn't appear to be a fuse
2. The driver seat seems to really squeak, and it appears to be coming from the seat-belt housing. I've had a good look and everything seems tight enough. The rear mirror also rattles at around 1500rpm (which drives me crazy)
Anyone got any experience of these issues, and how they resolved them?
Many thanks

Firstly... Welcome - another AMC WA 380 Brilliant news!
how old is the Car. ie still in warranty?
because squeaky seats have popped up a few times, think either knotched or kj380 (now treeadeyman) got something replaced under warranty only a vague vague memory however.
with the clock you'd need to pull the clock itself from the housing. id search for the thread where sh00t retrofitted a gps in place of the clock as i think that has instructions on how to get it out...

I have replaced the globe behind the clock you are talking about, its reasonably easy to do, just need to unclip the plastic surround above it (it's a bit tight, and it will feel like you are going break it) and is self explanatory from there.

Thanks for the replies guys.
No longer under warranty unfortunately. Will give the clock a go over the weekend.
Thanks again :)

Welcome Rearview mirror needs a tighten with a special torx driver. I fixed my rattly mirror that way. Also check that squeaking not coming from seat belt clip rubbing ob side of seat.

You realise this is on a 380 and not a magna right?

Rear view mirror only has a torx if it is the chromatic mirror, if is the std mirror the bracket has come loose from the allot housing and aside from replacement there is no real way to repair

and this car being out of warranty therefore 2005 and having the clock rather than the MFD makes it a base model or an l which didnt have chromatic mirrors.

Yes, opening quote mentioned it was a 380. The globe is similar as the globes behind the odo on TE/TF. It also has a little blue condom on it xD.

Mate,
I had the same problems.
My squeaky driver's seat turned out to be a squeaky seatbelt latch mount. The bit down the side by the centre console. Attacked it with some WD40 and the squeak went away, never to return.
With the rear view mirror rattle, I simply rotated the mirror 360 degrees around the lower ball/swivel (there are two swivel points) and it went away.

I get the seatbelt squeek thing too. Only really notice it when I carry a passenger because 99% of the time my music is too loud to notice it. I was gonna smash it with some WD40 when I get a chance.
