I know a few people that have had roof reupholstered for not too much, and a few people here have even diy'ed it. so that could be an easy situation to look into.

I paid $150 for a buy to come to my place and do it on 2 hours notice! not saying its normal, but its not that expensive. He even showed me how to do it myself and garuntee'd his work for 5 years. His DIY glue was brutal though, tolulene, acetone and a few other evil things!!!

its a pretty easy job to do yourself, everything is just cliped on, to get the roof lining out of the car is both scary, and easy lol, need to fold the roof lining in half to get it out, but it springs back, a bit of fabric from spotlight, i used polyester, and a couple of tins of spray glue. but like anything, make sure the surface your doing is very clean, preperation is what makes this DIY look good
