Hi Guys

Posted a few times bout my gearbox playing up after having auto tranny flush they said gearbox needs replacing but im not so sure.

Took it to a bloke who works for local Mitsubishi dealership and said try resetting the throttle position sensor. He says its idling low and the throttle isnt keeping pace with gearbox hence sensor.

It'll flare gears and sometimes drop out of 1st in drive when stationary, its still drivable just pain in the arse. It idles at 500rpm when in drive at lights which i think is to low.

Tried following workshop Manuel on how to reset it using a mutimeter and checking resesitance but couldnt figure it out.

I think if the gearbox was truly stuffed I wouldnt be able to drive it at all or am i just making the problem worse by driving it?

Oh sorry tj series 2 exec 4speed tippy ~150000kms

Can be the box. Tps will not cause it to drop out of gear

Still do the tps but if you can't follow the manual then you need to get it done
