long story short i bought a set of AWD calipers for $200 for my TJ exec and when i went to get them off i was told to bring a trailer!!!! :noway:

the car still starts and drives perfect and the air bag didnt go off!!, the damage consists of a smashed front bar, bonnet, both guards, windscreen and the roof has a small dint in it.. the car hit a tree square on and did not damage the cross member/rails.. suppose i had all the panels from my exec, head lights ect, would it be worth checking how straight it is and stiching in a new rad support panel in and rebuilding it?? keep in mind it would only be mostly structual work i would need help with as im a sand blaster and spray painter by trade and would do most of the work myself... I know its hard to know without pics ect any thoughts?

If the screen is broken and the roof has been damaged it is a State Write off, even if not listed as such, most body shops would not bother trying to repair something with such structural damage.

oh well 200 bucks for AWD brakes, power windows, cruise control, spare motor, vrx boot spoiler, AWD mags, better interior ect and whole lot of spares to sell on here is a bloody good deal!! lol

might just strip it bare and thrash it round a paddock as a AWD stock car!!! :noway:

You will have lots of fun AWD on grass or dirt - I was on a Khanacross track a couple of weeks ago and would have loved to do a full speed run. I like my paint job too much though.
Handling is quite interesting, mine behave's mostly like a RWD except with good acceleration in a straight line.

how much is an AWD box worth?

Most wreckers down here will sell an AWD trans for between $1500 and $1800 change over, they are hard to come by these things

when it comes time to remove the box ill prob sell it for $800 ono out right because im in far north qld. even with freight it shoud be a good deal...

oh and the box has a plate on the firewall stating it was reconditioned in 06 so probly got about 80k ish on it!!
