They do and theyre not cheap..
SuFz
$450+ each seems to ring a bell...
confirmed
they still sell them but better of buying of a member here will be a hell of a lot cheaper
Doesn't sound to me like your looking for cheap parras...sounds like your trying to convince the insurance/crash shop to buy new and not old...yes? If that is the case your question is answered, make them pay for new.

Read your PDS..
It states in many I have read and use daily that..
We will replace parts on a vehicle that are ADR Compliant and consistent with the age and condition of the vehicle. The only time new components will be used is when the vehicle is under a manufacturers warranty and coverage under this warranty is affected by use of OEM/2nd Hand Parts.
Who are you with..?
Ill see if I can find something for you to work with..

I bought a set of 1-piece paras and never put them in. everything i have read on here says that they aren't as good as the stock lights on the magna. so the 1-pieces sit in the shed gathering dust.

Hey guys, yes Bill, your spot on. Insurance is saying to try and repair the Parra on the VR-X yet the Parra is broken. ie the Glass is cracked and the fram that bolts the Parra to the headlight is snapped.
So the crash shop lady said they will remove, inspect and call them back and say its not repairable. Given my current headlights are immaculate (and members can vouch for them and I have photos) I am demanding a new headlight, so she seems to agree and will push for a new one. The only time they go second hand also is if there are no new ones left at all, but that does not seem to be the case.
Also, my insurer is AMP, who is underwritten I think by GIO which is now Sun? Not sure, but yeah, I just know them as AMP.

Nobody underwrites AMP, GIO used to be part of AMP Limited but are now part of Suncorp Metway when they took over AMPs general insurance branches

Thats what the lady said, it was Suncorp now. She said they are ok to deal with in most cases. She recommended to change my insurance to RAA as she said they are the best to deal with and can be reasoned with.
Thoughts on that?

I am with the RAA, and up until recently, never had to make a claim with them.
They were absolutely fabulous, and very efficient dealing with my claim and getting it fixed.
I've never heard of them trying to squirm out of a claim - they just pay it. Most of my family are with RAA insurance, and have all had positive experiences.
If you combine three insurances with them (ie 2x cars and 1x house), they will give a 10% discount off the lot. Once you do that, generally same price or cheaper than competitors.

I would have thought that when a part is no longer available brand new, that they would pay you out the value of the item at the time of the claim? That's what happened to me and my rims anyway.
