Hi everyone,
has anyone ever had to replace a knock sensor on a 4cyl TS?
i have to replace mine and am unsure how its done.
Secondly; can they be purchased elsewhere rather than Mitsubishi?? They want $186 :eek2:
Any help would be great!
Thanks, Tim :)

It is bolted to the engine block at the back below the intake manifold on the 4 cylinder, if I remember correctly.
Why replace it? Are you sure it is faulty?
If it really needs replacing, grab one from a wreckers. They aren't a high volume item at the wreckers. lol
You might want to check your ignition timing and distributor for correct operation first though.

i had it diagnosed and the code came back showing the knock sensor which would explain a few things...
i know where it is, it just seems like its gonna be a be-arch to get to and get out. is it just like the O2 sensor - just a ring spanner to remove it?

Never replaced one so I wouldn't know. I imagine access will be a problem.
