Hi guys, took SS Molt3n down to the local drags tonight and couldnt find a thread to post results.
surely some others must have done some timed runs in 380s?
anyway over my 8 runs my averages were
15.447 seconds
1.023 reaction time (spoiled by my first run which was 3.5 - first time at the drags and not really knowing whats going on!)
146.65 top speed.
The best time was a 15.209 (had a .871 reaction time and a top speed of 148.09)
best reaction was 0.241 (resulted in 15.395 and top speed of 146.14)
Best top speed was 148.54 (was actually my slowest time overall at 15.691 - had tonnes of wheelspin early on.)

All runs were done in full street trim... 20's on, no spare wheel or other non essentials removed. varex closed some runs open others traction control always on.
Also running cheap 'lexani' tyres. ($125 a tyre) that are about 10000km old.

Also had a bone stock 380 running coutesy of 'chrisby' ill let him post up specifics but he ran consistent 16.1, and SIGNIFICANTLY chopped his times down in his last few runs - to around 15.7ish

Interested to see what other members have achieved.

Not bad man. I've always thought from driving mine that it was a low 15 second car.

Just so you know, the reaction time means nothing for either Elapsed Time or Trap Speed.

So best of 15.2 @ 92mph.

Take the 20's off and spare tyre out and you'll be in the 14's no worries!

As stated, the reaction time does not get added to your ET.
Either way nice work, not much to make it into the 14s for sure

At Willowbank I got a 15.5 after three runs on stock springs and 19" - no extractors.

The biggest issue was wheelspin - I was continually bogging down.

I found TCL "off" made a difference if you can control your right foot, because nothing is interfering with the torque.

You might have done .2 better with it off.

Now that I have superlows I know from experience I can launch a lot better with a good balance of traction and wheelspin.

The first run I ran with Magtone who had a modified auto Magna (stage 1 cams extractors etc) and he left me at the start for about four car lengths but over 120kmh I started to reel him back. He achieved a 15.0.

15.688 seconds to be spot on, all you see on the camera is some lights and me waving my arms and screaming **** yeah when I get my time sheet but the rest off the footage is shite.

Very nice... swap out your 20s for a couple runs, TCL off and a bit of foot control.. I think you'll see a noticable improvement. Should lend you a couple of my sumis.

AFAIK your only mods are the exhaust and 90mm intake? If so that seems quite impressive, not even a tune!

Yeah they are the only perfermormancy things ive done. not sure about the traction control thing. i only saw it activate on maybe two? runs

the smallest i can go is 18" and only certain shaped ones. 90% of 18s are no go.

haha least we had fun. and theres now a good benchmark for a stock auto 380 :D

Next time we should try my 18's I'm pretty sure their brembo compatible, trial and error.
