Just wanted to know if my driver seat can be saved/repaired? How much would I roughly be looking at, for those who've experienced the same thing?

Cheers!

Call "The Leather Doctor"

I used them on one of my previous cars and they did an awesome job.. $160 and they fixed the seat and bolster.

I think it might cost a little more now. :)

I got a quote to remove, replace & dye the centre section of my rear seat - the panel above the cup holders & it's going to cost $250, (plus GST!). I'd imagine to do this section correctly will cost a bit more than that. (If MYKHVERADA's dedication to oil changes are anything to go by, he's going to want this done to a high standard! lol lol)

But to answer the OP's question, yes it can be saved. Google Blackmans Leather & see if they've got a workshop near you. They've got a pretty good reputation.

Yep. A good automotive trimmer can replace that section for you on a "drive in - drive out" basis.

They do it all the time on luxo European cars that can't stand the auzzie sun. lol

There is some skill involved in matching the material and stitching, if you find a workshop with a few BMWs and such in progress, you know you are in the right place.

Get some quotes first though, and ask if they have the material in stock, to avoid delays.

If you can't go without your car, get a cheap seat from a wreckers, swap them over, and take your nice seat in for a retrim.

Ask them about how to look after it too.

If the leather is not replaced, rather "revived", does anyone know how long this lasts for?
I have read elsewhere that it only looks good for a short period and then deteriorates quickly

Yeah I had a look at them, they're pretty much smack-bang in the middle of the city, which is about 20mins away from me. Going to see about something local first, if not, then I'll drop around to these guys!

Cheers, appreciate the help!
