Hi, peoples. I don't have my car with me today and I am at work and I am about to go and look/get some speakers for the front of my car. I want to use the factory door mounts and those round holes with covers that are on the dash. I am assuming there are there for speakers.

All I need to know it what size speakers I need to fit perfectly in the dash and doors. I think the doors are 6 inch. But I need the depth just to be sure. and the size of speakers to go in the dash.

Anyone can help?

Anyone can help?6 and 6.5 inch for the door fit.

Depth is a problem though. I had to make some 1/2 inch spacers for mine to fit so they didnt hit the window.

I have these Cadence Splits (Pic 1) (http://members.optusnet.com.au/miltonf/car/splits.jpg) and Pic 2 (http://members.optusnet.com.au/miltonf/car/splits2.jpg)

I believe the Pioneer splits fit in fine as a few on here have them.

i've got hertz 6" woofers in the doors which fit fine with the holes on the dash i doubt you are going to find a tweater big enuf to take the up totally. But i just drilled a 1" hole in them and the lip of the tweater covered up the dodgy cut.

They sound is great! I havent got them running off the amp yet (rewiring my HU this weeked) but even running of the HU they are great.

Cant remember what they cost me.. They retail for $259 US (I think), so convert that to Aussie Dollar.

Specs can be found here: Click Me! (http://www.cadencesound.com/action.lasso?-Database=Products&-Table=WEB&-ResponseAny=drivers_detail.html&-token.sub=&-token.comps=ZX-&-KeyField=ID&-KeyValue=236&-search) The link has the new model ones.. same spec but now has a orange coloured cone.

I have Alpine 1" dome tweeters installed in my dash. They sound greater - really gives those high tones punch. Wiring is a little tricky so I left that one to the professionals.

I'm yet to install my 6.5" phoenix gold splits. I'm not sure where to mount the tweeters, but i'll figure that out once i get around to actually installing them :D I'm shopping around for a monoblock / ~1000wrms amp to run my subs, so my current 4ch can run my splits and rear fill. I was thinking of the sail mounts, but that would mean extra money spendin :(

i have pioneer 3 ways in my doors which fit fine as they are pretty shallow. But i had a look at the Pioneer bullet splits and from looking at them, they didnt look they would fit straight in, much less shallow

Just thought I'd let you know that from a SQ perspective you should always aim high frequency drivers at your ears and avoid pointing them at glass at all costs. You're going to cause some comb filtering and delay because the high frequencies will bounce off the glass before they hit your ears.
