01 Mitsubishi Diamante LS (USA)

I've searched for this, but please correct me if you guys do find it. (I searched for ground loop and some other ones, it was a few day's ago.)
But, whenever my iPod is plugged in to the car charger and the HU there's a whine (not the alternator whine, which is there but I can get over that somewhat.) and almost a static sound My friend who does car audio said to ground that car charger to the same point my radio's grounded at. So I tried that this morning, and while it does make this constant almost thump sound go away, the whine is still there. (This is when the car is off, when its on it's also there + the alternator whine so it really get's to me because I do music so I can hear everything, I have that tuned ear while really sucks. :P
HU: JVC HDR40

While also leads to this question, I had to bypass my Stock Infinity amp when I had my HU installed, does anyone know how many watts it's pushin? I'm just hoping maybe someone knows, because Google wasn't helping me much either. Or how much I can get for it? (I've seen $120 and $40 US on eBay.) Or would anyone would want it out there in Australia by chance? (I heard you guys didn't get the Infinity Stereo option. (There is harnesses that will work with this amp, which is part of the reason I'm asking, that way I could put this amp back in my car if it's worth keeping.)

And how's good is this car with subwoofers? Airflow wise and such, my car audio friend asked if my seats fold down and I said no and that there was a piece of metal between the back seat and the trunk and he said that I wouldn't be getting too much airflow, unless I remove my 6x9's.

And also, there was this really gooey almost neon yellow, (I wanna say fluid but its got the consistency of jelly almost.) almost right in front (towards the grill) of the distributor. (It's not on the dizzy just in front of it, I'll try to explain it better if someone can't figure it out.) Or maybe I can explain to you that it's between the Intake Filter Box and the motor next to some small cylindrical container looking thing. (Not very smart with cars.)
And does anyone ever get that annoying wind sound coming through the windows? I know it's partly because these window's don't have a frame they kind of just go up to the top of the car (looks cool though.) What could be done about those? There is this rubber piece between the window's which looks like the problem. What would you call them though? I tried looking because I was ready to buy them but I couldn't find them at all.

And then one last thing, my driver's side radiator fan is a little wobbly, and when I sit in line for a long period of time and it turns on and I can feel it shaking the car and when I watch it, it actually shakes the radiator quite a bit too.. And I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that it's also causing my engine to warm up a little too. Goes up about 1 or 2 bars on the engine temp. I pulled it all out and tightened everything, my lady's dad told me it was the bearing, can anyone verify?

The other questions I didn't really search, so if you guys know that it's been talked about before just tell me, you don't have to answer them. I'm gonna keep searching even after I post this.

With the iPod on charge and plugged into the HU, I wouldn't to that, I fried my stock radio's input doing this and killed my Nokia, don't know how often this happens? But it happened, as for the subs in sedans, with the correct setup with some good gear, you can get reasonable bass, look through the audio section and members rides and see what they have done

Alright thanks, I'd be safe with a HU with a iPod-Ready usb port though?
It's weird that it kind of just started happening, used to not do it. But oh well.
Thanks again.

If it was fine before and then started to make this noise, I'd check all wire & plug connections to make sure they are tight and secure. That description reminds me of dry solder joints or a twisted & taped up wire connection :)

As for the sub my backseat is a bit free so a 12" subwoofer in a wedge shaped box sits behind the passenger seat and this works quite well.
If you're putting subs into the boot, there are a few holes in the rear metal - the ski-port (assuming you have one) in the back seat can be opened and I'm pretty sure there's some holes / vents in the parcel shelf.
I've had the same 12" sub and a 10" Bazooka sub in the boot and these sounded quite good. Only problem is the boot can rattle a bit at higher volumes, so a lot of people add sound deadening to their boot.

HTH.
