Hey guys,
Well lately I've been thinking that the horn on my magna sounds a bit sh*t (nothing wrong with it just don't like the sound however they still aren't as bad as the VB-VY commo ones) and i've been wanting to get a horn from another car (say a falcon, VZ onwards commo or a jeep gc). However just had a few questions.
1. Is the only horn a TL has that one you can physically see behind the washer reservoir and cruise control unit?
2. Are most car's horns interchangeable? Or will I have to make different mountings for brackets and figure out different wiring etc?
Thanks

From memory of browsing, a popular one is from that of a Oldish Falcon, as they have a deep, loud tone. Can pick it up from wrecker or equivalent with the loom and solder it together. I know someone here will know what im on about, and can point you in the right direction.

TL ES?
Yes, there's only the one behind the resevoir. There's another one mounted lower in the Veradas on the PS in behind the fog light.
An easy swap to a better horn is the 380 horns. Plug & play. Not that pricey from Mitsubishi.

Do the 380 horns have that more of a "BARP" sound with a lower tone rather than the "BEEP" that the magnas have? As I am wanting a lower tone with more of a "BARP" sound

I bought a set of 'Stebel Magnums' (twin horns rated @ 139dB) for under $40 new off Ebay.
They are supposed to be excellent according to reviews, but I haven't got around to fitting yet.

I have twin 380 horns in my Verada. They are quite good! Bosch units if I remember. And as the Verada's have twin factory horns, they just plugged in!

I installed (STEBAL air horns) in combination with the twin Ford horns...bloody loud.
the twin Ford horns are behind the grill, the STEBAL horn is behind the passenger fog light, plenty of room there and the sound permeates enough to blow someones ear drum....lol ( I used a relay for the STEBAL as it will draws more amperage)

I've seen 20 to 40 dollars at the wreckers,NFI for brand new.
To the op, I have a horn from an AU falcon you can play with. The fiaam brand iirc. Or they are 10 bucks or so from a wrecker.
