So the ceiling is peeling and i've pinned it up as a temporary fix. What are some suggestions about getting this fixed/re-upholstered.

Personally what I would do is take it to a car interior trim place and get that microsuede stuff put in my choice of color.
I got quoted a few years ago at $120 to do it if I am not mistaken

$120 is stupid cheap! I paid that for the material I put on my roof. It is very high grade material mind you. I'd budget for $200

I had to do a similar thing. Got quoted $700+GST from a trimmer because my car has a sunroof.

I purchased $200 of black suede and did the job myself (if you do, make sure you get 3M 76 HiTack glue as it is purpose designed and others are rubbish). I matched the pillars and all the plastics to the new colour. In the end about $300 worth of trim, glue, dye.

Now suede is a good idea. I never even thought of that. Hmmm i'll look more into it but $300 seems alright! Thanks for the suggestions.

I did the same with micro suede on my roof liner, I did it myself and the material only set me back $50 + $15 for some 12mm foam and about $50 of glue. I also micro sueded the pillars with left over material and I think it turned out really nice.

mcs-xi - That looks really good. I really like that. And you did that yourself? I'm not that great with hands on stuff so it might be a good idea if i get the upholsterers nearby to do it.

It was really easy. I did it myself yes.

It is a whole lot easier and cheaper if you do not have a sunroof. You have to buy a full metre less material to start with.

In real life it looks classy. Goes well with black carpet and parcel shelf.

But get a quote from a trim shop before you do it yourself.

it is piss easy to do yourself really, there are a few threads around here that have a pic by pic guide to doing it
