Good Morning Gents,
Over the past 2 days, it has seem a little harder to push the gear lever into 'Park'. Pulling out of 'Park' feels the same as well. Moving through the other gears is ok. I have never really paid attention before. It feels as though I have not pushed the button all the way down.
Would anyone be able to shed some light on this issue before I send it to the shop, please.
Thanks in advance.....

Try this..
Get to a stationary position and put the car in neutral..
Pull up the hand brake.. Release the foot brake..
Your hand brake is now holding the car.. Right..?
Now try and slip it into park..
When on a incline or decline coming out of park is always painful.
Let us know if that alleviates some of the problem.

Hi Gone,
thanks for the reply. I know the harsh changes you are talking about when on a slope.
This time i was on a flat plane and not moving. It feels a bit like pulling it out of park on a slope but maybe half as bad....

alrighty....
i was fiddling with the shifter button and at certain angles, it will come out of park smoothly and not so at others.
i hope its just a change of the shifter knob or button and nothing major....

Your problem may be here. (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84673&p=1344976&highlight=#post1344976) Take note of post 3, and in post six, the diagram, number one should be your problem
