Silly little question that should have an easy answer - if one was to find the bits cheaply, could the later cruise stalk with the intergrated master button be used on a TF that has it seperatly on the dash?

No. They require a different Cruise ECU to run.

The system works differently as well. The TF system lights up the master switch to tell you it is on, then the dash cruise lights up when the cruise is actually functioning. The TH onwards, the cruise light in the cluster is on when the system master switch is turned on - thats it. You have to guess when it is operating.

If you change to the TH style, my guess is you will need a new stalk, a larger opening in the steering wheel hub, a new ECU, and new wiring. You will also need a new steering wheel clock spring as the plug for the cruise stalk in the wheel is different.
