Started happening recently, went to start one day and nothing, just wound over but no start. Got towed and the mechanic found nothing ie fuel spark battery etc was fine, gave up in the end and left it for a couple of hours and went back with the second key and presto it started then put first key in and it started.

Since then after wet weather it does the same thing, leave it for a few hours and it will start.

Have searched this site but nothing relevant for TJ series 2 immobilizer etc, can anyone tell me where the immobilizer is as it's not in the same place as TJ series 1 ie plug block under steering column not there only BEM box, can't see antenna from key barrel either.

Also can you tell me which or where the troublesome plug at the throttle body is on this model, there seems to be several.

Did you solve this issue. I am having the same thing. Did you do it yourself? Im OK at basic some car stuff but electrics are NOT my forte. Did you get it fixed at a mechanics & if so who/where? - my local guy isnt up to speed on this issue.
