more questions again from me about more audio

1. I'm looking for a new headunit. something with Sub out settings so i can fade it right to the front and still have the sub going. whats a single din headunit with sub out (i like somewhere to put my phone) that also has an usb input that isnt going to cost much more than $200?

2. New splits. currently got sony ones in the front and they arnt that great. After something that isnt cheap but isnt AMAZING, after that mid range bang for buck component setup. Looking at about $150ISH. These are not amplified

3. Sound deadeneding. I added my new twin subs in today and everything flexs. What is a good deadener thatll stop this flexing, in particular my boot and parcel shelf? (how do i remove the parcel shelf to deaden it as well)

4. Ive got a verada, so that means a sunroof, so this flexs quite a bit, how can i reduce the movement in it?

a lot of this has already been answered but sifting through the amount of threads to find an answer will strain my brain far to much haha

1. Have a look a pioneers latest range, aswell as JVC and possibly an old alpine head unit for that price aswell
2. Need alot more of a budget for what you are asking. Around the $400 for something DECENT
3. Dynamat is basically the best deadener you can get, most priciest though. Parcel shelf does not come out but the cover does. Take out rear seat, rear belts and bolts the are in parcel shelf. Remove covers then remove the shelf
4 Nothing you can do about it. Only reason i did not get a sunroof in my SPL comp car. You can however open it and may gain you more pressure funny enough. Does sometimes

Pioneer DEH-6350SD (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2011-Pioneer-DEH-6350SD-MP3-USB-Aux-IPOD-Car-Stereo-/180608741293?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a0d1eafad) is what I have. Happy with it, only there is no harness for it as it is a new type. The guy at Autobarn got me a Pajero harness because all the colored wires match, so just had to solder the matching wires, easy.

looked at those one, is it only a single plug for it? ive got a pioneer unit in it already, so perhaps it might fit that one as well :\

Crap, they risk peeling off in high temps, require 2-3 layers to do the same job as dynamat, and much much harder to apply/more prep work.

It's a single plug, but no, your previous one won't fit.

Do we know what his old HU was? Iirc Pioneer has 2 plugs throughout their models so there's a good chance his existing plug will fit.. Need to know models to be sure though

For around that $, type S alpines, MB Quart Onyx splits. For a little more, Crescendo opus 1, Morel Maximo (but still under $250).

Someone on "MEA" forums is selling a set of 6 or 6.5" splits for <$100.
Philips brand but supposed to be quite good quality.

I keep my eye on that for sale forum - I bought an Amp about 5 or more years ago that I'm very happy with - it was already old at that point, but it just keeps going. Definitely recommend it if you don't mind getting 2nd hand equipment.

Dynamat isn't the best, nor is it the most expensive, its probably just the most common.

A bulk pack of Dynamat can be had for about $250 and contains nine 81x46cm sheets, a total of 3.3 square meters, so about $76 per square meter.

The Jaycar stuff isn't even cheap, its $24 for a single 90x33cm sheet (if you buy 10+ sheets), which makes it $80 per square meter.

ive done a bit of further research into the sound deadening part of this and ive found spray on deadeners.
few reviews say they are good but require a lot of coating, some say its terrible. Any thoughts?

Way too thin, if you wanna go down that path you may as well get brush on 3M body deadener. Just don't drive your car for a week while it drys! That said, this discussion has been had a million times, numerous people have tried various deadening methods and the same result always eventuates. They scoff at the wasted money and buy some Dynamat.

Seriously don't be a tight ass unless you want to regret it.

The way I see it with brush on/spray on stuff (or crappy sheets)... If I were to go to work for the same amount of extra time it takes to do, I would earn enough to buy a bulk pack of Dynamat.

fli comp6 great punch unamped and even better with one 140.00 - 150

3. Sound deadeneding. I added my new twin subs in today and everything flexs. What is a good deadener thatll stop this flexing, in particular my boot and parcel shelf? (how do i remove the parcel shelf to deaden it as well)

dynamat or fatmat combined with a tin of expanda foam -parcel shelf is piss easy, remove rear seat, remove rear pillars, remove screws on front lip of parcel shelf, remove any child seat mounts, carefully slice if small flat head screwdriver under the " pop pplugs" and just pop them up, wiggle shelf forward

4. Ive got a verada, so that means a sunroof, so this flexs quite a bit, how can i reduce the movement in it?

sweet f all, i did read a reveiw recently that claimed a a thicker or double layer of tinting could help but i think this is crap

spray on great for hard to reach places you want to look pretty but otherwise crap

u can use the thick brush on crap but i dont suggest people use this on the interior of their car the smell isnt worth the result, it is great however for using on the wheel archs / underbody for lowering road noise
