You can use the TJ box but the Ralliart Magna came with an LSD in the manual gearbox.
Madmagna does a drive in drive out deal for a manual conversion, though he is in Victoria

You can DIY if you have a few friends, will only take 2-3 days if you've got more than 2 people.

The Ralliart had an LSD in the box, you CAN put an LSD into a normal Magna box but at the end of the day including rebuild (which you might as well do while it's open) it'll be around 2k.

Of course, you could just leave it with an open diff. You can find conversion kits for pretty cheap.

Mal is a good option if you want it done quickly, I hear he can do it in a day provided nothing catastrophic happens, which usually does when working with cars lol

From memory he charges $1,350 drive in drive out BUT this is using the clutch gearbox comes with, add another $400 or so for a new clutch

Make that $600-700 depending on which clutch is used. Don't forget to add another $600 for fuel, food, and accommodation.

There are numerous places in Sydney that can do it for a good price.

Thanks for once agian supporting a sponsor Life, pleasure as always NOT....oh that is right, you came down to get me to do your manual coversion but I guess as you saw some it done you are now the expert.

$600 of fuel, what are you driving Via Perth, even with fuel and 2 nights down here, struggle to be $400

There are places up there that can do these, but they charge a lot more that I do and I often end up getting calls from these clowns in the end when parts of the car no longer work.......

OP, I dont have any gearboxes at the moment, have pretty much everything else, if you are wanting this doen I am more than happy to do this for you, only issue will be finding a decent box at the moment

Lol how much ****ing around is done when using manual tools eh?

From my experience in doing 3 of manual conversions, if you want to DIY, get yourself an electric rattlegun. If not, seriously, just drive to Mal's place and pay him to do it... Its a big pain in the bum bum to do your first DIY, or even to find a mechanic who'll be happy to do an actual Manual Conversion will be a battle.

Willing to put a guarantee on that and refund the difference to your customer if you're wrong? :)

Don't forget, people need to eat, drink, sleep.

I didn't say $600 in fuel, I said $600 in fuel, accommodation, and food/drink.

By your above post, you're saying it should cost no more then $400 to drive 1800km+ on petrol (Gotta love Sydney prices atm - $1.40 for E10! $1.50 for 95 :)), book a hotel/motel for 2 nights, and still eat?

I ask this because I was down in Melbourne a few weeks ago, I used approximately $300 worth of fuel in 2000km, using this amount of fuel there would be no way in hell I could book a motel/hotel, AND eat.

Nothing wrong with the car either before you jump on that... Got the same economy the boys that went to MMXI got, Mid 8's on the freeway (Cruise @ 105). Climate is warming up.

Btw, whats with the cheap shot on tech skill? Learned a bit since I was down for the conversion... With mates did a 380 engine conversion a few weekends ago, replaced gearboxes many times, doing 2 manual conversions in a couple weeks, did my own climate, fastglass, fogs, digi cluster, ecu flashing, TCL delete on VRX looms (really not that hard... its one peripherary bit in the ECU). I'm not doubting your ability, why should you doubt mine?

Get over yourself you sad case, I have a few people come down from Sydney, local accom for about 150 for 2 nights, if you are smart (clearly you are not) you drive down one day and leave early that morning, leave car here and I do some of the work that afternoon/evening and finish next morning and then stay at accom for 1 night, I do the conversion and they drive back the following afternoon, have done this with a few people thus far

Yes, I know that people need to eat, sleep, drink and bathe

As for food, I gather then you dont eat when you are at home, if you do then you can not factor food into this as you would eat if you were home anyway........

Now back to OP question, yes you can do the Ralliart, you can still have cruise etc etc working. You will most likely end up with a 3.5 box with no LSD unless you are willing to pay for the LSD to be fitted

Another good idea would be to use the 380 flywheel and clutch kit as this way you will have a brand new flywheel so no dramas down the track either
