g'day guys...i have a unichip ecu that i purchased some time back but never put on a car...how can i find out if i can install it on my ralliart magna...i dont know if it is if any importance but the serial number is 4882...if anyone knows i would appreciate any input....cheers
Honestly with reflashing services available now you are best not installing it and getting the stock ECU tuned instead. Do a search on magna ECU tuning, lots of info around.

i have been told figures around $700 to $800 for a re-flashed ecu...as i already have a unichip unit surely the cost would be far lower to program it and get it installed(if it is programmable to my car of course)

The cost should actually more, to reflash your factory ECU all the tuner has to do is plug in a cable and go.
To fit the unichip they have to wire it in to the car first. Besides, tuning the factory ECU will result in better results than a unichip - even though the unichip will work fairly similar for the most part. Plus then you have the chip there, and it's something that can (a) go wrong (b) depending on state, might get you pinged on an inspection/roadworthy.
I had my Magna tuned (on Dyno) by SKR in SA for $550 last year. So shop around for a price.. lots of places can do Magnas now (they couldn't at the time)
