As the title suggests - my Cruise Control is kaput.
The button to the right of the steering wheel lights up with an orange light when I press it. But when I try to set the speed for Cruise Control, it won't set.
My knowledge on Cruise Control systems is very very limited, my only idea on what might be wrong is that a fuse might be blown or something.
Help and suggestions appreciated! :)

First place to try is to make sure your brake lights are working. Maybe the brake light switch is buggered or perhaps one or both of your brake lights are not working. I used to install these and these were the two most common issues with them not working. Good Luck

Brake lights work fine. Just went out and had a look. That's really interesting actually! Haha.
Thanks mate, I'm hoping it's not an expensive exercise to have corrected.
Check the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump to the cruise control actuating unit ....it can split or get knocked off.
Try putting ya headlights on while trying to set it? Or try set it then put ya lights on. I had a similar issue. Didnt last but cant remember what i did with my lights :/ sorry

Usually is either the vac pump, line or the diaphram on the throttle body, either way they are easy to check and should not end up costing too much

Not on a TE/F is only green on the cluster when cruise is actually set, when not set is an orange light on the switch which is located where the TCL is on the later models
