View Full Version : Outlander front brake up-grade.
Looking for a bolt on, 4 spot front caliper upgrade for an Outlander. Moderately priced. Any ideas?
Evo brakes should fit, since the outlander is based on the lancer.
Ok thanks!, that was my 1st thought as well.
As others have done, check ebay and evo forums for cheapish brembos

Yep i've done alright for myself on ebay motors USA.
Wonder if Evo x would be a more likely fit or earlier....cant remember differences.

Pretty sure the main difference is the bolts holding the caliper to the hub are a mm or 2 larger on the X, so you'd have to drill the holes on the hub out a bit. (Larger disc too, but you already knew that!)
What's on the Outlander now?

My old mans 2010 v6 outlander only has single pistons on front, did older ones have dual pistons?
Hmmm! may be i misunderstood him, his is the same. No wonder he's not happy with them.
If thats the case i'll tell him to suss out the 380 set-up.
Could test fit my AWD ones i've got sitting here, if the dimensions, bolts etc. seem ok.

Yeah its quite spongy. I reckon he should try decent pads rather than stock crappy mitsubishi pads
