Hi all,

Just brought a 1999 Magna TH recently. Problem with Passenager Power window. The window is only able to go down about 2 inches from the down postition. The motor is working but the wndow just refused to go down.

The window regulators in magnas use a motor with a pulley, and a cable. It is common for the cable to fray or the pulley to thread (it is plastic). It is very likely your reg is in fact stuffed.

Possible can you advised me how to rectified the problem? Replace the regulator or can it be repaired by DIY? Thank.

I'd remove the door trim and inspect the mechanism to see if what Life suggests has happened. It may also just be a misaligned window. If you search tor "Magna regulator" in Ebay you will find heaps of regulators and
repair kits for them. Good Luck.

Sorry I quite new here. What do you mean by windows alignment? I still can move the window up and down but just can't wind it all the way down.
