Hi guys I have 98 TF sports and just recently I start hearing ticking noise on cold start and it will be there for at least 5 - 10 minutes. Any idea what causing this noise?

Is either the pre tensioner or the lash adjusters

Try when you do your next cold start, disc the CAS wire and crank for 10 sec, re connect and if no rattle is the pretensioner

My dad's TH was making a ticking noise a while back, it ended up being the starter motor throwout wasn't disengaging.
