Hey guys?

Any of you guys think this is useful? Where's the best place to get them?

I have both fitted on mine. Time will tell how useful they are, but on my old Magna my RHS headlight protector got a nice crack in it from a rock flicked up by a truck - would have done a lot more damage to the headlight had the protector not been there.
Mine are genuine Mitsi parts that I had the dealer (Agostino) fit before I picked up the car - got them to include bonnet/headlight protectors and door mats for free.
Not sure how much luck you'll have finding an after-market equivalent, it can be hard to find stuff tailored for the 380 but you might get lucky.
If you decide to call a dealer, call several of them as the price can vary a lot between them.

i know the bonnet protector assembly (i.e. including clips and all) should cost no more than $80 from any dealer not intending to rip you off too badly.
I've got two at home (don't know where the second one came from :) ) and none on my car; i found that all it seemed to do was catch leaves and other crap. I bought my car at just under 100ks, and there were plenty of little stone chips on the bonnet WITH the protector on, so i thought i'd take the thing off as there's already a few dings and personally i think the car looks better without it. The clips attaching it to the bonnet had started rusting too and i really wasn't keen to have that on my bonnet.

Have a look around at the cars on the road, and see how many cars have these protectors. That should tell you something. They catch leaves, can go rusty on the mounts and don't really protect from anything bigger than sand grains in a dust storm, seeing they are thin and flexible. Depending on the design, they can set up an annoying wind whistle too.

But, get one if you want. Let us know how you get on with it.
