ok, so ive installed a new headunit with 3 pre outs. (pioneer)

also type S alpine splits in the front doors.

i am running a type S sub, off a jvc amp (4 channel)

and also jvc 6x9s in the parcel shelf.

the splits and the sub are running off the amp, however the 6x9s are not.

would my audio be good in this setup? i have found some songs to be affected by this, ie. when the song utitlises the rear speakers, it sounds weak?

i didnt think this would be much of a problem as i only have the 6x9s there as a mid... should i get a 5ch amp and wire the 6x9s to the amp?

or would this be the result of a dodgy ipod cable via usb/mp3s not recorded properly? (songs im playing are using usb)

thanks in advance!
i know its an overload of questions sorry...

The rear channels get exactly what the fronts get, unless you go DVD 5.1.
All the big audio boys would fade out the rears, utilising just the spilts and and the sub.
Try it that way and see how it sounds, with the balance just a notch or two to the left.
Sound should be focused and centered near the windscreen, not in the middle of the car.

Only use the rears for fill when there are people in the back. If you are feeling nice.
Mine are not connected. lol
