well, luckily i check fluid levels every sunday, noticed that it had used about a cup full of coolant. my car does not usually use any cooloant. checked it monday and more gone. most trips are school runs and around town driving. started her up and sure enough there was a hair line crack in the top radiator tank between the filler cap and top hose inlet. i have tried exypoxy, stop leaks etc, and the only product to stop the seepage was Permatec radiator fix . its a 2 part putty that you apply to the leak directly. pickapart had one spare radiator but it had hair line cracks. i can get a brand new one for $270 full alloy, but the stock one can be fitted with a new top tank for a little cheaper. i notice the stock ones are copper with alloy fins as opposed to full alloy like the aftermarket ones. whats better in your opinion? get stock fixed or new replacement? my title point is, the leak was small enough to go unnoticed till the car overheated, i think everyone should check fluid levels every week.
