Thinking about picking this up at the auctions, and getting back on the road and giving to the g/f for a daily. The quarter pannel damage I can fix myself, but the radiator support pannel I'm stumped with.

What's common practise these days - Do pannel beaters these days cut and weld in new support pannels or do they bend them back to shape? Just need to know because there's a 2nd CJ lancer going with rear end damage that I might also pick up to grab a front cut from. Other than that I'll be going out tomorrow to inspect and measure up the engine bay and see what else I'll need.

I'm budgeting around $10-$12k.

I'm guessing in QLD you can rego these again?

I believe in NSW you can't.

Yeah you can here. These aren't stat write-offs.

Well I know some pull out the bent rad support back out, at the end of the day it's about what you're most comfortable with.

Panel beaters will vary from practice, from the quick and cheap (pulling rad support out) to the more complete jobs.

At the end of the day, it's your missus who's driving it.

I don't know if it's necessary to buy the VRX wreck just for the front though...
