So was casually driving along the other day when my rear vision mirror spontaneously fell off... Seems after 12 years the adhesive has finally given in. So what's going to be the best thing to stick it back on with?
Pretty sure I used Araldite. I first tried some silicon first which failed. Then used Araldite (I think) and it's been stuck there since. Best to remove the metal tab on which the actual mirror assembly mounts, and just adhere the tab the the screen and hold it in place with tape for a day or two (this is key).
Otherwise, wood screws and cable ties?

Commonly only needed when you get a new screen, auto parts shops have the stuff specifically for sticking the mounting pad back on. Used one last year but can't remember the brand. lol Take the mounting pad off the mirror first, make sure screen and mounting pad are clean. And make sure you stick it in the right place and NOT upside down! lol My new screen had a pad on the screen where the mount went.
