I have a 1995 ts magna that has a noisy rattle when started up but goes away after a few seconds but when stopped and started again for th second time it makes no rattle. Could someone give me some ideas as to what could ne causing this?

Hydrauilic lifters leaking down.
Try an engine flush and a good oil like HPR 10.

If it's a 2.6 it could also be a worn cam chain. They slap against the side of the alloy timing case until the hydraulic tensioner takes up the slack.

Good 'ol 4G54 timing chains. Wondering how long it's gonna be before I start finding bit of chain guide and timing cover in my oil ;)

You will not see it in your oil. It ends up on the bottom of the sump, and in the oil filter. What you will get though, is a wear groove breaking through from the inside on the outside of the timing case on the left hand side, and possibly water in your oil because the chain has worn through the water passage on that side.
Fix it or ignore it, your choice. Really depends on how much longer you want to keep the car.

stand in front of the car left hand side on the timing cover there,s an oval shaped cover two 10mm bolts remove the cover loosing the 10mm bolt under the cover and with a screw driver push down the tab (sorry cant find the picture) and re tieten the 10mm bolt. may stop the rattle
SHORT TERM FIX ONLY.
