DISREGARD - I CAN SEE WHAT SPEED IM DOING AGAIN!! Believe it or not, a fuse for what was labelled a headlight fuse was blown (but my headlights still worked...)
Urgent help needed!!
After succesfully replacing the speedo, HVAC and ciggie/ashtray lights, I was in the process of reinstalling the console when all dash lighting died. At the time, I was reconnecting a HVAC cable.
All lights were in perfect working order until then, but here is the weird part....
When you put the auto selector (non-tippy 4-sp) into P, R, N or L, the gear selector indicator on the speedo cluster lights up as you would expect it to. BUT, when in D, 3 or 2, the gear selctor on the speedo cluster does not light up, BUT THE LIGHT FOR THE FRIGGIN CIGGIE LIGHTER LIGHTS UP!!! Work that one out!!!!
Fuses are fine. All other electrics work fine, all driving lights are not affected. And yes, the lighting-brightness adjuster is connected.
I have done this procedure multiple times now with no problems. This was the first time however I have had to take out the central vents (above the HVAC controls) to change the HVAC lighting. I was reconnecting the cable from the right hand adjuster (which I still have no idea whats it for) when the lights went out.
Apart from the fact that it is a TJ Advance, with the standard/basic interior options fitted, im unsure what other info to provide for those who are "switched on" with electrics.
