I have had my Anti-Lock and Park Brake light on for a while now and decided to get it checked (btw the car brakes really good...........on dry surfaces). I went through the manual and checked the Park brake and fliud level switch- no issues. Then I tested the resistance on each speed sensor and 2 rear ones have values on 1.38 and 1.39~ which is out of the normal range. 1.4-1.8. Just to make sure that it was the sensors I went to 3 separate mechanics and none could connect to my ABS or EFI diagnostics- all had different machines and all claimed that they scan Magna's all the time. I also couldn't get the ABS light to flash when shorting pin no 1 but the N and engine lights were flashing, luckily no error codes.

Question: Should I take it to Mitsubishi and swap my car for the amount they charge me? :eek2:
Is the ABS/ECU fried? Any suggestions, advice.

I would say that the ABS modulator/ecu has fried. When the ABS system dies the handbrake light will also stay on, the fact that you can not get communication to the ABS system inferrs that the ECU for the ABS is fried

What model do you have

Its a TJ 3.5 2000 with a TW motor( not sure if that makes a difference). Can the ABS ECU be replaced without replacing the whole pump module?

Makes not difference. The TJ ABS ecu is located in the ABS module in the engine bay. Is all part of 1 unit

Thanks Madmagna, I'll just double check that the fuse and relays are not blown and I'll PM you for the price of one delivered to Sydney.
