Good Sunday all,

The blastard tapping is back again. Put in a nice 6g74 into my TF back in April, finally put a working air con pump in last weekend. All good.
This morning I was checking over engine fluids, topped up the usual suspects, and topped up the oil with 25-60W...now I have tapping from the top once again. I'm going to check the pre-tensioner, but could also be lash adjustors....

Any one with some other ideas?

Not really a recommended grade.

You may be able to get away with a good engine oil flush and a refill with HPR10.

Tap is now all but gone, but I do concede I used the wrong oil...too thin...
As this was just a top up, next pay I'll do a full flush I think...

You've used too thick, not too thin, HPR10 is recommended and is 10W50.
