Hi. My TJ Magna died yestereday at a set of lights. The car will idle (very roughly) but as soon as i push the accelerator down it dies. A few tests revealed it is running super lean. I am in the ACT any good Magna mechanics? Any ideas anyone?

Bad timing (Xmas, not ignition)....blocked fuel filter, bad coil in distributer, fuel pressure regulator, distributor cap/rotor button shorting/dirty, vacuum hose off somewhere, bad crank angle sensor.
Sorry I cannot help more and hope it is very simple and easy to fix.

Your problem sounds like fuel starvation. Try changing your fuel filter. This is a first step. It could be a blocked feul pump pickup, or even a split hose inside your fuel tank. How much fuel in your tank? Maybe an injector clean. These are a few ideas.

HI.
Well I got my car fixed by Tuggernanong Car Care in only 2 days. The problem was two earthing straps between the engine and chasis were not conducting properly, the distributor malfunctioned and the fuel pump was putting out only minimal flow. So all fixed.
