...and I keep looking at my watch every 30 seconds wondering if its time to go and collect my baby.

Chomping at the bit...oh why isn't it knock-off time yet?

Nah, it's never been dyno'd. When I got the Berkley straight-thru exhaust put on, I could feel the difference in power in 3rd, 4th and 5th gears. I'll definitely let you know how it feels.

After looking through here, I think I got a good deal on the extractor package. Bought the Pacemakers at $380 delivered to my door and the guy fitting it is doing the job for $60. Bloke does excellent work as well (the exhaust was done there and my old bombodore had exhaust, breaks and suspension done there).

Guy that it is doing it is at Kingston Exhaust & Brake Centre in Kingston (south of Hobart) so any Hobart-based people out there, look this guy up for exhaust, brake or suspension work. Does excellent work and it helps that he has deals with the electrician, mechanic and bodyworks place nearby so if anything extra needs doing, you can get a good price from there as well.

Not quite true. Pacemakers or any extractors for that matter don't make your exhaust louder, as far as Db being produced, they do how ever give your exhaust a much nicer deep note. Im not only going by what the pacemaker website says, but also personal experience, as I first had LR2779 muffler installed, then a few weeks later the pacemakers went on, the pacemakers didn't make my car louder by any means, but gave the exhaust a much deeper note, very nice I think.

Well, the big test comes tonight when I drive the car home from work (lovely big hill with traffic to navigate...good way to test out the pick-up 'n' go capabilities of a car when you've got to pull out from behind some old granny in a Volvo).

So far though, I'm happy with them, especially at the lower end. Like anything, you get into a pattern with your driving, such as pulling into an intersection near my home. You generally use the same accelerator pressure, gears, driving line, etc. I went around the corner like normal...and suddenly found my car at 60kmh in 2nd...got there a damn sight quicker than it did before. Also, the responsiveness between gears is better as well. Along with the straight through exhaust, the increase in performance is noticeable.

The note of my exhaust hasn't really changed because it had a low, subtle growl anyway.

All good.

Hey OzWolf mate. How much did that Talon front bar cost ya? and is it an addon or a new front bar? sorry for the OT

I don't know what the front bar cost on its own. The entire kit, front bar, side skirts, rear pods and t-wing plus fitting, painting and colour coding mirrors and plastic strips cost me just under $2000.

is it a WHOLE new front bar? or just an Addon?

Just an add-on. It clips into the lower grill. In my opinion, looks a lot better in the dark coloured Magna because the grill is nearly colour coded to the car anyway.

Ok, done some research. The front spoiler is about $350 without painting and fitting. Sucker cost me close to $280 to get fixed when it was wiped out by somebodies unsecured load.

In other news, I'm happy now because AAMI put my alloys in as an accessory, making room on my policy for the pacemakers. No need to change insurance company and my premium will be cheaper than elsewhere. :dancin: :dancin:

umm... with that AAMI thing... when i got my muffler done... i asked about extractors and they said that the exhaust comes under the one thing so i could just 'cancel' the muffler mod and just have "exhaust upgrade" in which the extractors fits under :D

Oooh, nice info Dingo, thanks. Will keep that one in the back for when I get some more performance mods done.
