The brake light comes on for a few seconds before ignition and then goes away, but pops up while driving and stays that way till I turn off my car. And it's been this way for about a week or more. I haven't taken my car for inspection yet, but I'd like to get an idea of what could be the issue. And also, my gas pedal gets 'stuck' sometimes.
Thanks.

Id take that straight to a mech.
Is the handbrake been put completely down? The light being on during ignition is normal.
What do you mean by stuck?

Low brake fluid.
Go and check the brake master cylinder reservoir.
It is on the drivers side of the engine compartment on the front of the big black round cylinder - the brake servo.
The reservoir is translucent with low and high level markers on the side.
Top up with the correct fluid. details in the owners handbook.
If in doubt buy fluid that is the same colour.
When was the brake fluid in your car last changed??

I had the same issue with my handbrake light couple of weeks ago, handbrake off, mine would flicker while driving. Found it was a loose wire on the handbrake under the centre console. All I did was take the centre console out and poke my hand around till I found the right wire. Have the car in the ON position with handbrake down. Feel around and watch the handbrake light till it goes out. I then made sure that wire was secured down.
I think it was grounding out, completing the circuit and giving the impression the handbrake was on. Hasn't come back yet
Handbrake + ABS light means you have an ABS fault.
Possible causes:
1. Dirty ABS sensor
2. Low Brake Fluid
3. Blown fuse
4. Fault ABS unit
For ABS sensors: first up remove your wheels, remove the ABS sensors one-by-one and clean them off, reinstall.

Yes, the handbrake is put completely down and it still shows the brake lights. I know it's normal for lights to show up during ignition for bulb check, but the thing is, it appears for bulb check and then it goes away for a few minutes and reappears while driving, or more specifically, when the temperature of the care is in the middle - as soon as it reaches the mid-point in temperature needle, both the lights pops up and stay that way till I turn of my car.
And by 'stuck' I meant that its not smooth, sometimes its hard and won't get pressed, and sometimes when I press it, it gets stuck in that position, but then pops up on its on again.

I've rechecked my brake fluid level and it is full. I just refilled it a couple of days ago, but it didn't make much of any difference. I checked the level today and it is still full.

I'm not much familiar with cars, and the mechanics I've taken my car to for check up and robbed me by changing unnecessary parts, etc. It costs a lot to have the car checked up by the sole dealer, so I am coerced to have it checked by other mechanics. I'm not sure if the ABS sensor is dirty, but I will note it down and have it clean at the car cleaning centre (if they provide the service). And I don't think it could be the low brake fluid, its full. And I think it could be number 3 and 4, but I don't know really.
