OK, so when I bought my 96 te, it had a snapped console so I bought a new one from the wreckers. I tried to install it yesterday but made matters worse. Where can I get this fixed? I can't imagine my local mechanic fiddling with it but maybe an auto electrician? also, can anyone reccomend anybody in Sydney to get it done?

Take pictures and we should be able to run you through the reinstallation process.

OK, it is virtually in pieces. My brother has taken it to Newcastle for a few days but when he gets back I will take some pictures.

Fixed at last! Turns out my air con unit has the top clips snapped off so it wouldn't sit flush. Replaced that an it all came together perfectly. Completely forget about this thread till just now...
