I was thinking, does anyone know where i can get a TR-TS V6+5 speed manual front cut in NSW from ? This way i get ecu, wiring harness, radiator, pedal box hydralic clutch set up, everything, then i can swap it all over into my 92 TR executive sedan, and get rid of the slow old 2.6L, auto. Any help would be great.

I got a price from the only local wrecker here who can get one, he wants $3,300 for an undressed front cut with a V6 manual, to me that seems a bit expensive.

Seeing as I have seen V6 TR's for $3500 with the whole car working and everything yeah that's over priced for sure.

My advice to you would be to stick out with the TR for a little while. By early next year you would be able to pickup a TE for $6000, possibly less if you were patient, lose $3000 on the sale of your car and for $3000 you have the newest shape magna, a 140kw producing engine as opposed to the 120kw TR V6 ones and you have a lot of extras like ride quality extra in the TE that you wouldnt get in the TR. Seeing as this guy is asking $3300 just for the front cut of which you would have to pay or spent time installing, getting a TE in a while seems a lot more cheaper, better, faster and better looking than the alternative.

I'll be selling my old TE Altera for about 6500, so that makes a point.

Why not hold out and save up for a Gen III, they have much more potential (not that Gen II's aren't any good)

There are cheaper ones about. I have seen a few and if I see another I will post it here. One ting though is that you will have to remove the engine mount on the LHS and replace it with the V6 one, everything else from the front cut in so far as cros members, lower control arms etc, which are different, will bolt in.
The mount can be changed, you may need a certificate for the change, however if you do a good job it should not be noticable so do not bother.

Mate, in all seriousness, the cost of the front cut + the time it takes to do the swap and the money you'd pay in different parts etc, you're better off finding a stock V6 manual TR/TS.

But if you want to go ahead with it, then as mal said it's not a direct bolt in, the LHS mount will need to change. IIRC (mal can confirm) the others will be fine.
