I have a 1998 TF Magna Advance. The remote that I have been using is now warn out, its distance that it unlocks is greatly reduced and the buttons are nearly broken. I have looked around at a few different places for new remotes but they are around the $100 mark.

I am now considering buying an Alarm kit and wiring this in? I do not know much about these, or where I wire them into. Is it a simple job? or am i better off getting my local car store like autobarn or tonkins to install it?

Any Advice on what I should do would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Matt

I pick up spare remotes from new car sales yards they seem to have boxes with the second keys and FOBs for cars they put through the trade. Just get one from there often free put a new battery in and reprogram it. Then with the saved money up grade your stereo.
