ive got a tn fule sender unit of an elite with a digital gauge, and i have a tm dash, would the lack of resistance cause this problem of it not working?

both fuel senders are completly different

the digi sender wont work on anything but a digi dash

My question is what is fule, or do you mean fuel as in petrol

If you want to convert over to digi dashes etc you have a lot of work to do, I have done this over the years in first gens while they were still semi popular, there used to be a member here also from SA who pretty much totally customised his TN and combined the best bits of all 3 models, best you get your manuals out as he did and to to town

Na i like my moving needles, yer as in petrol spelling is not hat good lol, when i converted the tm to efi it did not occur to me about the difference in senders so just chasing a tn analog sender, since im in WA we have nothing over here :(

I'm fairly sure it doesn't matter whether the sender is tm, tn or tp as long as it is analogue for an analogue dash. Also it needs to be from a sedan (if your car is a sedan) because the wagon tank has a higher capacity. Perhaps magna buff can confirm.

yer, i do know the tm tank has different arrangement than the rest

elite sender works as a potieniometer, analog sender works as a reostat. the third wire on an analog dash is for low fuel light sensor.

Leaded TM = mechanical fuel pump not electric. i swapped fuel tanks for a unleaded one and wired in the fuel pump + relay. I cant remember if the sender is different or not, as when i did the digital conversion, i already has a TN tank.
