How do I remove the standard radio/cassette in my 96 Altera so I can fit the disc player I've just bought? Is this a job for the experts? I don't want to break anything.

Sh*T I've just noticed there's an audio section....sorry.

dunno if you've worked this out... but the best bet is to go and buy a Gregories/Haynes workshop manual.... it gives detailed destructions for the dash (and the rest of the car for that matter) and has the wiring diagrams as well.

Tell ya what I did find out...... if you don't plug your Hazard Light switch back in before you put your console back your bloody blinkers won't work, I thought I'd blown a fuse but could'nt find which one!!

Or just do what my mate and I did:
Take it appart
Take mental notes as you do so
Reverse steps of taking it out
Hope you don't have too many screws left over
Record here's 23. And, there wasn't too many rattles, either!
