After looking through the DIY threads, I want to know where I can buy one of those automatic window/sunroof close upon lock units, preferably not off ebay...
Thanks!

Hey I went to the wreckers the other day, and I think that's probably the best place to go buy stuff like this...

You won't find one at the wreckers. They are an aftermarket thing, not a factory fit item for these cars.

Bookmarked this, the eBay link, and the DIY for future use.
Once I get my Rain/Headlight Sensor from Mike, I might get one of these too! :)

Funny how we all have KH Xi's and we're doing the same mods lol

Maybe it's because all the KH owners love to tinker and make their cars as awesome as they can possibly be? :)

All you blokes need is a Homelink, and power fold mirrors and we can all be clones! Hahaha.
Happy to help where I can with any install questions guys.

Too bad I don't have a garage door to open with this homelink lol. Seriously, how do I get the power folding mirrors in Riversand Gold?

I wish... I looked into the Homelink as one of my first mods, but as far as I can tell, my garage operates outside of the Homelink's frequency range.

I've installed this in mine. My unit was off eBay too. No issues.
Be weary of the sunroof though. Most units work between switch and motor - intercepting the signal and stopping when there is resistance (window has shut or arm is jammed, etc).
However, the sunroofs switch has an ecu, and then the motor. So wiring these straight up to the switch does not work, nor does wiring it to the motor directly because the ecu is needed to control when the sunroof should stop.
Also, there is a wire that goes to the sunroof ecu that shuts off power when the drivers door is opened after the ignition has been turned off. So if you do not cut this wire, opening the drivers door (to get out) will leave your sunroof open, regardless of the auto close module.
There are ways around all of this as I have found when installing these units in my KH and my Dads KJ.
Doors are simple - sunroof needs seem work arounds.

This is very correct!
Onky is a genius beyond me and can explain that one. Personally, I never tried the sunroof as I like to leave it tilted. I have however sorted the one touch close to compensate.
As for the mirrors, the only way to get them in your colour is to get a set repainted. That is what we did.
For the folding mirrors, you will need a set of JDM ones, disassemble them for painting, send the shells away and reassemble with the chromatic and convex glass. Then sort out the switch and the Pajero relay. Possibly rebuilding both of those with solder.
After all that, run extra wires through the door with the factory pins and add the wires to the loom.
Smash the JDM glass out of the frames, modify and glue the backing to the chromatic and convex glass to clip into the JDM mirror motors.
Job done! haha.
