Hi guys, not looking to do anything ver professional as I am have a very limit supply of tools and materials.

I found that kj tweeter pods are too small for after market tweeter pods. Any ideas on where the best and easiest place to put these? Any ideas please put them out here.

Any ideas welcome beter than using Velcro tape to hold them on my door.

Cheers

Only other location that looks half decent (aside from cutting a hole in the top of your door trims) is on the dash where your factory tweeters would be located. You'd need to get the plastic inserts from a Magna then cut it out to size to fit the tweeters, and tune the stereo accordingly for the difference reflecting off the windscreen is going to make. That or buy speakers that fit the factory door pods lol

Attach them to the sail panel or copy me and go way over the top.

Plus One, Model and Pics thanks....
My tweeter, out of the plastic cup it usually mounts in, is 32mm wide and 22mm deep, and even then its raised by washers on the OEM mount, still fits inside the Pod/Sail...

Thats just a highly regarded speaker, Not unusual for car audio to put a home speaker to shame, wether its the manufacturing process or adapted from a home theatre, some of these cars need to be heard to be believed. ( I just looked at the pics, following the link from the pic.... Damn, its nearly all magnet)
Take a look at Disciple's, its just a pity you can't hear them, then you might understand what drives the owner to do such things, its a passion/addiction/pastime/hobby.
Seeing as you mucking with a stereo in the new bus, perhaps you should get to a real audio store and listen to a car or two, leave your credit card at home tho:/......

But dont worry, if there is a speaker out there, they'll get in a car....

Speaking of which, I still have 2 channels @ 180 WRMS each spare, what to do, what to do, another thread perhaps....

It's a ring radiator tweeter, the surface area is a key part of the tuning and off axis dispersion of the tweet.

in your footwell cut out carpet for it to fit facing diagonally inwards right near your doors.

peaandham: i love your tweeter placement, well done.

This is what I'm doing at the moment...I bought a toilet tank float from magnet mart and I cut it in half then I added an mdf ring.

Is that going to be mounted at the base the A pillar too?
Thats a pretty ingenius solution to a difficult mounting problem, can I ask where were you sitting when you thought of that?
Giggity...

Yeah I was sitting on my morning throne.

Soap/candle mould will do as well then fibre glass it, this is my 3" speaker.

Define too small? I was hoping to fit some aftermarket 25mm Morel Maximo 6 tweeters in the stock KJ pods on my GTV. Am I gonna run into an issue? I thought the stocks were 25mm.
